Refund policy.

If we miss what we promised, you get a refund — in writing, before you pay. This is the full text of every refund line we'll honour, plan by plan.

1. Scope

This policy applies to every paid plan offered on bandlingo.edu and to all Indian residents purchasing through our website or counselling channels. It is binding on Bandlingo and on you from the moment your first payment is received.

We will send you a copy of this policy as a PDF attached to your first invoice. If anything below is contradicted by a written agreement we sign with you for a specific plan, the written agreement controls.

The shortest version. If we fail to deliver what we explicitly promised, you get money back. If you change your mind, you get back what we haven't spent on your behalf. If a third party (a visa officer, an admissions committee) makes a decision, refunds are scoped to the parts we own.

2. Starter — free trial

The Starter plan is free. You receive 20 practice credits, a single counselling call, and 7 days of app access. There is nothing to refund.

If you upgrade to a paid plan within the 7-day trial window, the trial credits you did not use are not transferred or rebated — paid plans come with their own credit allocations.

3. Crack the test — ₹4,999

The Crack the Test plan is a one-time payment for 100 practice credits and examiner-reviewed feedback. Refunds work as follows:

  • Within 7 days of purchase and fewer than 10 credits used: 100% refund, no questions asked. Refund issued within 5 business days to the original payment method.
  • Within 30 days and fewer than 40 credits used: Pro-rata refund. We deduct ₹50 per credit used and refund the balance.
  • After 30 days, or after 40+ credits used: No refund. The plan is yours to use; credits do not expire.

4. Full journey — ₹49,000

The Full Journey plan is an end-to-end package. Refund rights depend on which milestone has been completed:

5. Visa-only — ₹12,000–₹18,000

The Visa-only plan is for students who already have an admission letter and only need filing help.

  • Visa refused on grounds we anticipated and warned you about: No refund. We will, however, re-file once at no extra fee.
  • Visa refused on grounds we did not flag in writing during onboarding: 100% refund, plus we cover one paid re-filing attempt.
  • You withdraw before lodgement: Pro-rata refund based on work completed (documents collected, drafted, reviewed).

6. How to claim a refund

  1. Email [email protected] from the email address linked to your account.
  2. Include your invoice number and the section of this policy you are claiming under.
  3. We reply with an acknowledgement within 1 business day and a final decision within 7 business days.
  4. Approved refunds are processed within 5 business days. Refunds via UPI land same-day; card refunds can take 5–10 business days to reflect on your statement.

7. What we will never refund

  • Third-party fees we paid on your behalf (university application fees, visa application fees, courier charges, English-test booking fees with IDP / British Council / ETS / Pearson / Duolingo / Cambridge).
  • Time-based work already delivered (counsellor hours logged, SOP drafts shared, mock-test reviews completed) when you withdraw from the plan.
  • Discounts and promotional credits applied at checkout. These reduce your invoice; they do not constitute a balance owed to you.

8. Disputes

If you disagree with our refund decision, write to [email protected]. Our grievance officer will review and respond within 14 business days. If the matter is still unresolved, you may refer it to the consumer-protection authorities of India under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. Jurisdiction: Chandigarh.
